About Turnbulls

We first opened our doors at Turnbulls on 25th June 2003. Since then we have gone from strength to strength, and we are now an established business on a thriving High Street.

We are family owned and most of our customers are local to Shaftesbury. Our business is to supply home cooked, local food for local people.

Our Vision

There is a bit of a problem with the food in our country - taste and nutrition are suffering at the hands of cheapness and convenience. Throw in some constantly changing food fashions and our diets are now in a bit of a pickle.

At Turnbulls we are trying to slow things down a bit and push the balance back the other way. Call us old fashioned, but we try to use good, local seasonal ingredients served up in an atmosphere of friends and family.

Charlie sees himself as half talent scout, half host. He sources the best from small producers and serves them up with a joie de vivre that is almost continental!

Whether it's in the deli or café, or at a party or function, we want to share our enthusiasm and delight in truly excellent produce.
